Meet Your Longarm Quilter
Hi, I’m Susan — the quilter behind Prayeriewife Quilting (and yes, you might know me as the T-Shirt Quilt Lady 😄).
My love of sewing started the best possible way: standing next to my Grandma Lola as she tied a quilt in her garage. Decades later, I’m still at it — mostly self-taught, professionally long-arm quilting, running a T-shirt quilt business, and making more quilts than I can count.
My teaching style is simple: love what you do, try new things, and leave perfection at the door. There’s no quilt police here — just encouragement, curiosity, and a whole lot of “let’s just jump in and try it.”
Whether you’re tackling your first zipper bag or turning a pile of old shirts into something you’ll treasure forever, I’ll be right there sewing alongside you. 💛
01 Have I always lived in Tennessee?
No, our family moved from California to Jonesborough Tennesse in 2021. We absolutely love it here! We love the people, the beauty of the area and the hometown feel.
02 I’m Probably Listening To
A book on Audible or a good podcast.
03 Favorite Travel
My husband and I love a local ride through the hills on our motorcycle to unwind. NE Tennessee is beautiful!
04 You’d be Surprised to Learn
I’m a bit of a spreadsheet geek!
Quilty Fun!
When I’m not quilting, you will likely find me creating quilt patterns! This is the smaller version of The Dirty Martini Quilt using fussy-cuts for the star centers. The pattern comes in two sizes and is available in my shop.
I have a lot of designs in “draft” mode and will be presenting them in the shop as they become available. If you would like to be the first to know about free tutorials, longarm specials, PDF pattern releases and see the new pantograph designs, you can join my email newsletter.
